American-grown protein.
Upcycled from rice bran.
We're building the first U.S. production of premium rice bran protein — clean-label, allergen-free ingredients made in Arkansas from an upcycled milling byproduct.
One clean feedstock. A family of premium ingredients.
Rice bran is the protein- and fiber-rich outer layer of the rice kernel — an abundant byproduct of milling that mostly goes to animal feed today. Our process elevates it into ingredients built for modern formulation.
Rice Bran Protein Isolate
Neutral taste and high solubility for sports, clinical, and beverage nutrition. A domestic, allergen-free alternative in a supply-constrained protein market.
Rice Bran Protein Concentrate
A value grade for bakery, snacks, and blends — the same clean, domestic supply at a formulation-friendly price point.
Rice Bran Dietary Fiber
Clean-label fiber from the same process — a gentle alternative to inulin for GLP-1-support and digestive-wellness formulas, one of the fastest-growing needs in food and beverage.
Additional co-product streams — including a plant-based milk/egg replacer and vitamin-mineral concentrates — are in development.
The protein market needs a domestic answer.
Protein demand is surging across every format while dairy proteins run supply-constrained at record prices. Yet today, U.S. rice protein is entirely imported. We're changing that.
Domestic supply
Made in Arkansas, where roughly half of all U.S. rice is grown — inside the densest rice-milling cluster in North America.
Allergen-free & clean
Non-GMO with no dairy, soy, gluten, or nuts. Neutral taste that works as a base for any flavor system.
Truly upcycled
Our feedstock is a milling byproduct elevated from feed-grade to human nutrition — sustainability you can measure, not marketing.
Proven product
An Arkansas pilot has already produced an 82% protein isolate, third-party verified — supported by a University of Arkansas technology partnership.
Upcycled by design. Certified by third parties.
Sustainability isn't garnish here — it's the business model. Every ingredient we make starts as an underused agricultural byproduct.
Upcycled Certified® pathway
We're pursuing Upcycled Certified status — the third-party standard for upcycled food — so our customers can carry a verified upcycled claim on-pack.
Measured, not claimed
Third-party life-cycle analysis is built into our development program — quantified carbon and water footprints versus incumbent proteins.
A near-zero-waste process
Protein, fiber, and micronutrient streams are all captured — a biorefinery approach that uses the whole bran.
We're building — right now.
Sustavia Ingredients is an early-stage company headquartered in Arkansas. We're currently building our Phase-1 demonstration line, which will prove our extraction process at scale and produce qualification samples for food, beverage, and nutrition customers.
Our approach builds on real foundations: an Arkansas pilot that produced a verified 82% protein isolate with over a year of process data, extraction technology validated in peer-reviewed research, and a technology partnership with the University of Arkansas.
We work where the feedstock is — alongside the largest rice-milling cluster in North America — turning an abundant local byproduct into ingredients the U.S. food system currently imports.
